With never having traveled to Europe before, I was eager to have the opportunity to be immersed in a totally new culture. From the second I stepped off the airplane I knew I was not in America anymore. Although it was intimidating at first not knowing what anyone was saying or what anything meant, studying in Urbino is giving me the true authentic Italian experience I wanted. You walk everywhere, but I don’t mind it because the views are impeccable; mountains upon mountains, green fields that go on for days, or multiple buildings stacked on the sides of mountains, it never gets old. Oh, and I can’t forget to mention trying all the food! Everything is made with fresh, natural ingredients making it all truly delicious. I am going to miss being able to get a hot crepe made right before my eyes, or that scoop of gelato to top the night. Lastly, my Urbino experience wouldn’t be complete without mentioning the amazing friendships I have formed here. They have been the “panna” to my gelato, in other words, made my Urbino experience complete.
