Sarah Naccarato (she/her) is a Pittsburgh native studying at Chatham University for her bachelor’s degree in communications: journalism. She is pursuing a photography minor. She is the digital editor for Chatham’s student-run media outlet, the Communiqué, and works as the newsroom’s Swiss Army knife as she takes on articles, photos, graphics and video content as needed. Sarah photographs in her spare time and is the Chatham Rea Coffeehouse photographer, capturing nearby college bands in her university’s basement venue. She also recently accepted her first freelance assignment for NEXTpittsburgh, a local outlet that reports on Pittsburgh communities. She hopes she can utilize her media pursuits to engage with local communities and connect with passionate people. Outside of journalism, she enjoys paddleboarding, road trips with the windows down, catching toads, making weird art and watching a few too many movies. Sarah will also be occasionally spotted working at her local grocery store during the summer months. You can find her work here and here.
