Griselda Garcia (she/her) is a San Diego-based journalist majoring in photojournalism at Palomar College and hoping to transfer to San Francisco State University to earn her bachelor’s degree. She serves as the photo editor for Palomar’s student-run newspaper, The Telescope, and also works as a photographer, reporting and capturing news and events. She primarily focuses on photography but has also had stories published on The Telescope website. She has covered campus news, opinion, political movements, and local news involving transit around Palomar College. In addition to these stories, she has  photographed Palomar’s softball and baseball teams. Aside from The Telescope, she has published two articles for Palomar’s Impact Magazine.  After college, she plans to pursue a career in photojournalism, with a focus on highlighting wildlife and environmental issues. Besides working in journalism, she enjoys camping, crocheting, hiking and biking. Her work can be found here and here
