You may not personally know any mushroom-hunting champions like Tonti Agostina. But you can still experience the adventure yourself with overnight excursions in the Marche ranging from a few days to more than a week.

Caravanserraglio
A one-hour drive from Urbino, this farm-stay lasts eight days. In the morning truffle hunter Paolo Ciccioli guides guests through the forest to find the best mushrooms and truffles in the Marche. Chef Ennio Barbieri teaches classes in Italian cuisine.

Le Marche Holiday Tours
Spend four days in the heart of the Marche’s truffle country near the town of Ascoli Piceno. Tour operator Moreno Moretti, a local truffle expert, and a clever truffle-hunting dog named Ianna will help you search for unique white and black truffles. You will then get to cook them into your own tasty pasta dish.
