Brittany Dierken

Traveling to Urbino, Italy was my first time being abroad and immersed in a completely different culture. Urbino is a small Renaissance town, but booming with culture and the friendliest people. Through my story, I was able to see Italy from the homes of Italian families. The pasta dishes and wine are amazing and make sure to bring tennis shoes because everything is a hike! This program has definitely pushed me outside my comfort zone, but I have grown so much in my work as a reporter and as a person.
