Solange Jain (she/her) is a student at Syracuse University, currently pursuing her bachelor’s of science degree in photography with a minor in sociology. Born and raised in New York City, Solange is most captivated by exploring the life of the individual, amid a world of 8 billion people. She believes each person, each object and each place has a lengthy story to tell and she strives to communicate those stories through photography and writing. Solange has experience in photographing cultural events as well as being the assistant photo editor for the Syracuse University newspaper, The Daily Orange, beginning in the fall of 2024. Joining The Arles Project, Solange is excited to explore a new place and a new culture and hopes to engage with people and their stories along the way.
