Traveling to Urbino was the perfect study abroad experience. Over the four short weeks, we were completely thrown into true Italian culture. Having to overcome the language barrier and cultural norms as a reporter is a tough task, but this program really showed me how to do that and still report on a story well. I loved the fact that Urbino isn't a big tourist town and that it still stays true to traditional Italian culture. This forced me to adapt to a different lifestyle that I wasn't expecting and to fully experience life in a different country. Being sent into a small Italian town with 40 or so strangers can seem intimidating at first, but I won't ever forget the experiences I had with people I now consider great friends. I am so grateful to have been able to take part in this incredible program.
