Landon Walker
Working as a reporter in Urbino has provided me with a long list of moments and images that won’t soon be forgotten. These include: the joy and intimidation of a never ending Italian meal, the deafening cheers of diehard Italian soccer fans, the lifelong friendships made with our interpreters, the time music overcame language barriers when connecting with a local punk band, and the simple pleasure of a much needed espresso break. The experience of capturing and crafting a story here has shown me how rewarding this profession can be, and as I continue in my writing, I will always look back to my time in Urbino.
