I wanted to be a part of this program to try something new and get out of my comfort zone…and that is exactly what I have done. Journalism in general is a new experience for me, so having my first involvement with it in a foreign country has been twice as eye opening. I have learned so much in such a short amount of time; not only about journalism, but also about interpersonal communication, about the Italian culture, and about myself. There really is no better way to learn about a culture than to completely submerge yourself in it, and I am so glad I took the chance to do so. This experience has taught me to think outside the box and be open to new ideas and customs. The kindness and helpfulness of everyone around me has made studying in Urbino such a unique and unforgettable experience.
