Ella Lepkowski is a student at the University of Maryland, class of 2026. She is currently spending a month of her summer with the ieiMedia journalism program at Arles à la carte, a language school in Arles, France, An international relations major, she is learning about international journalism and immersing herself in a new environment in order to broaden her experience with different cultures. Her career goal is to gather human intelligence by tactfully communicating with different sources with different backgrounds. When she is not working, she often spends her time making illustrations of her environment with various media, such as watercolors and pencil. Ella eagerly anticipates the new experiences that Arles will offer, including the opportunity to improve her French language skills and find fresh inspiration.
