Sophie Wyckoff is a sophomore at Iowa State University majoring in journalism and minoring in criminal justice. She will begin writing and reporting for her university paper, Iowa State Daily, in the fall semester 2023. Sophie hopes to one day live in New York City and pursue a career in global investigative journalism. She is participating in The Arles Project, which is co-sponsored by ieiMedia and Arles à la carte, a language school in Arles. In her free time, Sophie loves to read, be outside, travel the world, and take a deep dive into the way other countries’ cultures and lifestyles are different from the United States.
