Ella Slade is a senior at Iowa State University studying journalism and mass communication with a minor in design studies. Originally from Lawrence, Kansas, Ella is a lifelong resident of the Midwest. She is currently an editor for her school newspaper, the Iowa State Daily, where she also works as a student reporter. This summer, Ella is melding a passion for photography with her writing and reporting skills through the international journalism program in Arles, France, co-sponsored by ieiMedia and Arles à la carte.
