Kylie Clifton resides in the Bay Area of California, but she is no native Californian. Her departure west, an unoriginal and historical American practice, to escape the east, is only the most recent chapter of her story. With six years of experience studying and writing student journalism, Kylie is en route to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and film, television and media studies from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. The most daunting task for this journalist is selecting a genre — for she has written at length for every section of her college newspaper, The Los Angeles Loyolan; Kylie has treasured writing investigative pieces, profiles and columns.
